I've almost fully recovered from all the crap illnesses. I went with my parents to visit my brother and his sons yesterday... here's a shot.

I took this with my Tokina and had to crop it a bit because I was using the built-in flash which, unfortunately, leaves a very annoying shadow on the photos... Still, this is nice. They look silly. Which they are!

Settled Plans

I've been discussing with myself a lot today. About my current situation... not studying, only working jobs that doesn't have any obvious plans for the future. I don't know what to do about it. I'm not sure I'm okay just accepting this situation for now. I'm not sure I can accept that it's okay for me to be happy in this moment right now... because I do feel happy... just not when I think about the future.

Photo: The building in the background. There's another one just like it behind this one. They're both doomed. They're too old and badly built to be worth renovating... so according to plan they'll be torn down someday... their future plan is already set.

They only felt like removing snow/ice from half of the path... I don't understand why, but I don't mind: It seemed like a good photo. The lake is to the right...

I took out some of the colour of this photo to emphasize the contrast of the black and white shades. Also, if I'd made it completely black and white it would've given a somewhat depressing mood. A little bit blue made it more idyllic - which it was!

I went for a walk (to the lake) the other day... Here's one of the many photos that came out of it.

And I also realised that I have yet to figure out how this lense functions at its best in the snow... I mean, as for wide balance settings... I'm still experimenting... and experiencing!

I'm relieved that I had a bunch of usefull photos from last sunday's photo trip (that's more than a week ago)... I've been spending most of the past 4 days in a horizontal position on my couch = not much photographing done! I hope to be fresh tomorrow so I can go to work... and maybe get a few shots of something interesting on the way to or from work.

Erh. Many words there...

...I'm telling you, only the Tokina lense did this shot justice :)
